    Working around the sacral chakra, we’ll focus on gently opening the hips — gradually building up to our peak poses: Fire Log Pose and Middle Splits.

    Don’t let that put you off! As you’ll see, my own hips aren’t super open either. Fire Log Pose is a seated meditation posture — similar to a cross-legged seat, except the shins are stacked parallel to each other, creating a deep yet accessible hip opening.

    After practicing on both sides, we’ll explore Middle Splits, with simple variations demonstrated along the way. Remember, we each work within the limits of our own bodies — just as I do.
